Catherine Flynn is the co-founding Partner of Flynn Watts Law. Leveraging more than 30 years of success as a trusted advisor to healthcare providers, Catherine provides representation in the many evolving areas of healthcare law, protecting the interests of both institutional and individual clients. Ms. Flynn has counseled hospital, ambulatory care, home healthcare service providers, nursing home clients and physician group practices on Federal and State regulatory and compliance matters; HITECH Act, HIPAA and EMTALA matters; Medical Staff By-laws and privilege delineation, regulatory agency investigators; JCAHO accreditation, risk management and insurance coverage counseling. Ms. Flynn represents individual licensed healthcare professionals protecting their interests in regulatory compliance matters, licensure investigations and hearings, as well as providing insurance coverage, risk management and HIPAA counseling.

As an active malpractice defense lawyer for more than three decades, Ms. Flynn has successfully argued cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court and the Appellate Division. She has represented physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals in over 120 jury trials involving complex medical issues and catastrophic injuries. In addition to her malpractice defense experience, Ms. Flynn represents individual healthcare clients in administrative professional licensure matters.

A horse enthusiast, Ms. Flynn also counsels individual horse owners, stable facilities, insurers, breeders and trainers, in all aspects of equine law. She is a member of the American Horse Council, American College of Equine Attorneys and the United States Equestrian Federation.

Ms. Flynn is a frequent speaker on Healthcare Law issues including Health Reform Legislation and its implications on the healthcare industry.
